I found a recipe for this bread here and the ingredients are below:
1/2 cup mashed potatoes
3 to 4 cups all-purpose unbleached flour (I'll explain the ambiguity below)
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons instant yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cooked bacon
1/2 cup chopped fresh chives
I did not have sour cream or fresh chives so I substituted them for 1/4 cup of milk, 1/4 cup ranch dressing, and dried chives. I also only used two slices of bacon since they were thick cut slices.
First I mixed up the mashed potatoes with some of the potato water. I left the skins on the potatoes because it is good for you and adds a nice color to the bread. After I completed the bread, I realized I probably should have mashed up the potatoes just a little bit more since there were still a few chunks but it didn't seem to matter because it still tasted good.
I was able to shape it a bit with my hands and figured it would taste good even if not perfectly round :) I baked the dough at 450 degrees for 5 minutes and then 35 minutes at 350 degrees on a baking stone and used steam. It turned out great! I would definitely recommend this recipe to others!
