I had recently bought a few rolls of bulky yarn when I was last in the states, and figured I should make something. I found out the hard way that one roll was not enough to make a scarf (too short), so it had to be something smaller since I didn't buy multiple rolls of each color. I had never made a hat before, so today was the day to try.
I looked up a few patterns and kind of mixed a few together since I was working with bulky yarn. I started with green yarn and had the hat finished in about 30 minutes after placing it on my head a few times to check the fit. After it was done, I thought it looked kind of boring. Why not add a flower?! This was also my first attempt at crocheting a flower and it turned out great. After finishing the green hat, I made a white one with a green flower. I watched Gone With The Wind while working on these. Probably the 20th time I have seen the movie and I still love it :)
I think the green hat will be a Christmas gift… But the white one is for me and my upcoming trip to the states for Christmas.
