I chose knitting for the yarn and completed my first scarf while waiting in the airport on the flights home. Because it isn't ever cold here, I don't have much use for scarves… Gifting it was my first thought... My brother-in-law's girlfriend just met the family and I figured she needed to know about my homemaking qualities :) I didn't take a picture of the scarf unfortunately, but I immediately ordered pink and purple yarn to make scarves for a few of my nieces who really enjoyed the last scarves I made for them. Wouldn't it be great for dress up!?
It took a long time for the yarn to come in (Note: Joann's Fabric ships slow to the VI), but I finally finished the scarves. I thought that I would be able to make two scarves with each ball of yarn, but that wasn't true so I couldn't make as many as I hoped. Once I was done, I had four frilly scarves. That should hopefully make four little girls very happy :) Here are some pictures.
