Because it rains all the time at our house, we have a continuous layer of mold on our sidewalks, concrete, and well pretty much everything. This is a bit dangerous at times because it gets really slippery and unless you have a large backside, it would hurt pretty badly to fall.
We pressure washed the area near our koi pond about a year ago and it is now almost solid black in many areas. This area is always on the back of our mind and we hardly go over there because it is kind of gross. There are about 500 toads living in this little pond, birds that like to crap everywhere in the trees overhead, and the water is a bit stinky. You really have to take your chances when visiting the koi pond. For all we know, the loch ness monster may be living in the pond too! There are also a lot of large piles of black stuff all over the benches and tile which I am pretty sure is either bat poop or poop from a 20 pound toad. Super gross! Needless to say, it was time to pressure wash.
Here are the before pictures.
For any of you that have pressure washed before, you know what it is like to have all the crap you are pressure washing bounce back and hit you square in the face. This is just gross. Especially pressure washing steps! Trying to get the corners means the only place for the water to go is straight up and all over you. I probably looked like I went swimming in mud which would have been more fun. When I was finished, I actually pressure washed my jeans and boots. Crazy right?!
Now that I did some work on my day off, I am thinking about grabbing my book and a glass of wine and heading for the hammock :)
