Last year, we decorated our boat as a sailboat which was a big hit. To reuse some of our supports and ropes, we decided to be a Christmas tree this year. We built a star for the top out of PVC pipes and zip ties (very easy actually) and ran lights throughout the "tree". It took us an entire day to get everything set up and ready, but since we did this the day before, we didn't have to stress much on the parade day like we did last year.
Aaron's parents were visiting us during the parade and got to help us set up the lights and ride in the boat during the parade. It was a fantastic experience and we had lots of fun. Aaron lost his voice again yelling Ho Ho Ho and Merry Christmas :) I think I might need to get him a megaphone for the next parade!
After the parade, we sat underneath the fireworks show and watched all the amazing colors glistening on the water. It was amazing!
Some great photos taken of our boat (and many others) were obtained from Joseph Dollof and a few of our friends. Thanks to everyone who cheered us on!
