I really feel like a traitor, and a conformist living here in this super nice gated suburban community. I mean seriously, this is not my idea of living the good life.. but it does have some benefits..
One of these benefits is the ability to drive a golf cart around the neighborhood at anytime of the day. in fact, all of the beach access, restaurants, the marina, the convenience store, and the beach bar all have front row golf cart parking..
And seriously.. We had to have one. When we went to look at used golf carts at the shops conveniently located within the community behind the golf club... WOW!!! Big $$$$ money for used old junk that has been constanly rented or used on the course. But, being the bargain hunter that I am, I took to the streets and found a golf cart for much cheaper and she gets the job done just like the rest of them. The seller even delivered it to our house!
After a tune up she "The Green Machine" was all ready to go. We have been cruising to the beach every day with the dogs or just going on joy rides.
To Theresa's dismay... the Green Machine has had the speed governor altered, which means she drives at warp speeds but also causes the motor to back fire at inconvenient times. She HATES it.. but I love that she hates it.. it is great because it causes all the fancy pants neighbors and golfers to stare at you and wonder who let the Rednecks into the neighborhood...
Seriously.. it doesn't happen that often.. so maybe the neighbors won't kick us out.. yet.
